WELCOME FROM THE PASTOR
A very warm and friendly welcome always awaits you at SCC.
Although, as a church, we have recently celebrated our 30th anniversary, we are very much a church which is both young and vibrant in its worship and outlook. As a church reflecting its local community, our congregation covers a wide spectrum of ages, but one thing we all have in common is our desire to grow stronger together in our faith in Jesus Christ. Our ‘strapline’ at SCC is “serving Christ serving the community”, and this is very much the beating heart of all we do as a church. We truly believe that our love for God and passion to give our all for Him, is the driving force behind our social action. Whilst we currently meeting a school hall, we believe that God has a permanent home for us in Sheldon, and part of our vision is to see this established and used as a ‘launch pad’ in demonstrating Christ’s compassion in serving the needs of Sheldon.
We embrace all ages and backgrounds as a church & truly believe that at SCC there is something for everyone!

REV MATTHEW ATKINS
SENIOR PASTOR
Since June 1st 2005, Matthew Atkins has been the Pastor of Sheldon Community Church. Matthew has full AoG ministerial status, and was formerly the Senior Leader of Zone 1 in the AoG Midlands region
MEET THE TEAM
Andrew is an elder at SCC and also heads up the worship team

Tim is a member of the Sheldon Community Church Council and also plays bass in the SCC worship band

Nathan is an elder at SCC & also looks after promotions and social media as well as playing in the SCC worship band

Raychel is the administrator at SCC and co-ordinates the stewarding teams that facilitate church services each week

Hannah is part of the SCC Wellbeing Team who support and connect the church partners by setting up social and outreach events
